Partners in creativity
This April, let's focus on thriving in community instead of striving on our own
'Now you [collectively] are Christ’s body, and individually [you are] members of it [each with his own special purpose and function]. '
1 Corinthians 12:27 AMP
In a world that’s becoming increasingly individualistic, it is my firm belief that we need to get back to the valuable roots of what it means to grow consistently in the midst of a healthy community. I might even go as far as to say that as creatives this is of vital importance to our personal and spiritual development, which clearly affects our craft. After all, it is in the middle of such a community that our art flourishes, receiving the wings it needs to soar, the advice it requires to be properly chiseled in order to reach new heights and moreover, it is where we have the opportunity to mature in such a manner that wouldn’t have ever been possible in isolation. In my view, isolation is the enemy of any genuine progress and connection and definitely not something to linger in.
What’s more, just picture this: if even Jesus, the Saviour of the Universe, understood the value of and needed strategic relationships throughout His life (e.g. with His disciples, Lazarus, etc), believe me, so do you and so do I :)
All right, but practically, how are we going to go about things?
It’s my great joy to introduce Creative Accountability Partners, a project that’s been on my heart for a while now and which I’ve finally managed to coin properly.
What’s a creative accountability partner?- a like-minded individual, strategically placed to walk alongside you as you navigate your own creative journey and what’s even cooler is that in return, you become that person’s partner in creativity, thus being entwined in each other’s creative tapestry
If this sounds like somebody you’d like to have in your life, I encourage you to head over to our subscriber chat, where I’ve created and posted a link to a Padlet that’s going to help you find the most suitable partner in creativity for you during this season. All subsequent instructions are included in the previously mentioned link.
Should you feel stuck in your creative endeavours at the moment, then maybe this is just the kind of push you might need. In my experience, ideas, as well as the motivation to pursue them, emerge differently when you’re going about matters together with somebody, therefore this could be possible you to :)
Don’t forget to subscribe (we have both free and paid plans available) and share the news with a friend as well:
Until then, feel free to reach out either directly from the app or via our Instagram account (which is linked in the bio of this page).
Enjoy your creative coffee! ✨
